From 2019-2022, I worked as a programmer at the ridesharing company, Lyft, where I designed machine learning algorithms for fraud and safety purposes. Two particularly memorable projects were: 1) Building a "mask recognition" system at the height of the covid-19 pandemic to ensure Lyft riders and drivers were following safety protocols (see the image under "Random Checks" below); and 2) Deploying systems to ensure unauthorized drivers weren't using the platform.
I've also worked on several personal projects, including "Khabar," an iOS app which is a Pakistani news aggregator, and "Kiko," a web application and platform to voice caption GIFs. I am not currently working on them.
