Book Review
The Plague (by Albert Camus)
|
- Camus had some insight into the human condition that we all lacked, and this magical book hints at those insights. It was particularly poignant reading The Plague during the Covid-19 pandemic. The single greatest lesson I learnt from the book is that in good writing, every word matters. Good writers intentionally choose every single word to some end and that should be no different whether one is Albert Camus or Harith Khawaja. I also learnt that our return to “normal” post-covid will not be as joyous as we think.
